Power gear slide control module failures

I have a 2008 Pace Arrow and have had 3 control module failures one on each of the three slides. In addition I have replaced all 3 slide motors. Not necessarily from control modules. The modules are located in a separate basement compartment just behind the entry door. Its not a very environmentally safe area. Is there any recommendations on preventing moisture problems. When I find the problem the module is clicking continuously and of course the motor won't work.
I tried putting some weather stripping around the door prior to putting it back on but doesn't appear it helped.

Thanks Gene

I have two thoughts.... buy a simple metal box from an electrical supplier who can get you a waterproof box and connectors to move the connections inside a weather proof metal box.. most of these have a hinged door with a water proof seal... I personally have my sprinkler controller on the outside of the house in a box like this.. much simpler than walking in and out of the basement each time I need access....

My second suggestion is a cheep Tupper Ware container that's screwed to the wall and you install your switches and other connections in the container... and than snap the lid on to make it water tight... I've used this were it can be in a protected location and I want a water proof connection.... cheep, and efficient...
