Power Help Please

I have a 2004 Holiday Rambler Endeavor. When I connect to shore power I’m not getting anything. My gauge over the door is lit up but just reads 0. When I’m on generator everything works normal. Any suggestions. I sure would appreciate it.

Welcome to iRV2. Sorry about your power problem but glad you joined us here.

From the description there are 2 possibilities: your shore power cord (or its connector, or where it terminates inside the coach; or the transfer switch that chooses between shore power and generator, have failed.

If you have a cord reel, roll the cord in and out to see if it starts to work. If it does, get it fixed.

Electric

Check to make sure you have power at whatever you are plugged into. If you do your transfer switch is bad.

If you have a built in power protections system then the shore power could be bad.

Thanks for the suggestions. I’m gonna have my buddy who is an electrician check out the transfer switch for me. I assume it’s the big box where the shore power cord is stored.

Emmaus Road-

First off, welcome to iRV2!

Second, you should add a "signature" to your profile. It contains whatever info you want; most people put info about their coach there, so they don't have to type it into each message. Instructions for adding a signature are here.

Re: The transfer switch. If you coach has an IOTA ITS-50R, you should replace it, even if it works now. That model has a safety recall (could overheat and potentially start a fire). The next question you may ask is what is the replacement for the switch? This thread answers that question:

What brand of 50 amp transfer switch is best?
