Power problems
I blew the power when connected to shore power. When I reset the power, I noticed the power panel said we were inverting when it should show charging. I even removed shore power and turned on the generator with the same result. What else do I check?

Welcome to iRV2
Sorry your first post is about problems .
Which breaker tripped , the shore power post or internal in the coach ,
Sounds like shore and gen set power not reaching the inverter , have you reset the breaker for the inverter in the coach panel ?

There is no breaker in the power panel, it is just push button. I have turned it off there and then back on. I have also gone to inverter and turned it off and on several times with no success

I'm not sure what your 120 volt power panel looks like , mine has household breakers .
Does the push button look like the end of this one ( picture below ).
Do you have a multimeter , or a non contact 120 volt circuit tester?
EDIT: What year is your Tiffin ?

It is a 2012 Phaeton QBH 40 ft. I have checked all the circuit beakers in the back power panel and have turned them off and on. None of them were tripped. Not sure what else to check. Battered are full of water and connections secure.

On the inverter/charger itself will be breakers. Some lever, some push button.
They will be down in the compartment, you need to check them.

You might need to further define what you mean by blew the power. Did it come on for a second or two and then go off? Did the power ever switch from inverterting to charging after you connected, or did it stay on inverting the whole time?
When you connected, was everything turned off or did you have things running? Were any large load items turned on when you connected to shore power like a/c units or heaters?
If resetting the breakers on the inverter doesn't fix the problem, the next thing I'd look at is the transfer switch.

Hello. I have a 2012 Phaeton as well. I agree with Richard. Maybe look at the transfer switch. I had to replace mine in 2016. I would make sure the generator, shore power and inverter are off. Then plug in shore power. Do you hear the audible “thunk” of the transfer switch engaging? If not, and if you are familiar with the use of a multimeter and applicable safety precautions I’d check to see if you have voltage on the input side of the relay for shore power. If you do and you hear the relay engage check the output side of the relay for voltage. Then unplug shore power and do the same thing for the generator. If you have voltage coming in but not out the transfer switch will need to be replaced.
There are two big relays inside the transfer switch. One for the generator and one for shore power. The one for the generator failed on my rig. I replaced the transfer switch and good to go.
Also, if you don’t have one I’d invest in a good surge protector. Progressive Industries and Surge Guard seem to be the popular models.
Good luck.
Chris

Obviously the inverter/charger is not receiving external power, either shore or generator. That suggests either the auto-transfer switch is damaged (burned or broken wire or relay) or the breaker & circuit that feeds the inverter with 120v power is not working.
When connected to shore power, does anything that is not inverter-powered work? The house air conditioner, for example? If so, you are getting at least some 120v power into the coach. If not, chances are the problem is at the transfer switch.

Thank you all for your advice. With the help of my neighbor, we found that the inverter switch had tripped. The reset button was hidden in the back of the inverter on the back upper section. Can't really see it, have to just feel for it. Once it was pushed in we had charging again!
