I have one of the "Y" cables, with two 30A male and one 50A female. I have used it on occaision with predictible and satisfying results. I have no 240V appliances in my coach. The main danger I personally found is the CG owner might not like it, but you said you paid for two spots so he should have no problems in that regard.
