Power to house
We took the Gulfstream diesel to the shop for generator issues. Picked up RV drove it home and things started happening. So only have power to the house while the motor is running turn off engine and no power to house.

Sounds like your house batteries are either turned off, depleted, or a fuse is blown. The house power was probably drawing from the engine alternator when it was running.

Should be never if everything is working as it is supposed to. If all is operating normally, the engine alternator will supply power to the house batteries when the engine is running. The batteries should then be able to power the house until they are depleted. The charger is supposed to keep the house batteries charged when hooked to shore power and you may or may not have a trickle charger to keep the chassis batteries charged when on shore power. Some coaches had the trickle charger and some did not.

Find the house batteries and look for a battery disconnect switch. If none to be found, look along the + cable for a fuse or breaker. Also look for cables that are laying loose.
What's happening is the chassis battery is being connected to the house loads thru the charging/isolation relay.
Its designed to do that when the engine is running to charge and maintain the house batteries, while traveling.
With the house battery not being connected ( switch off, fuse of breaker tripped, cable off ) the only 12 volt power is coming from the chassis battery.
Shut off the engine and the isolation system is designed to cut that connection so you don't run your starter battery diwn while camping.

So I changed out the house battery but the solenoid is getting hot between the batteries and coach. But do have power in the house. They changed that one last week.

I would think you have more then one house battery.
The isolation solenoid will get hot If your plugged into shore power.
It stays actavated to charge the chassis battery.
