Precept vs. Windsport opinion

We are deciding between the Precept 31UL vs. Windsport 31S.

We like features of both. Precept is about 6k more.

any opinions on current owners?..

I looked at both and went for the thor product.
The precept was nice but couldn't handle the black trim around all the outside boxed new no oven. I went with hurricane 34e and love it.
The 2 year warranty on the jayco is nice though
Good luck

Great minds think alike! I too looked at both, (and many more), and ended up with a Hurricane 34E.

I recommend focusing on the floorplan that you like the most, regardless of brand. Ignore any dealer's posted price, (divide any RV's MSRP by 1.4, (a brilliant calculation that I discovered on a message board), and that's your base price to get bids on), and go from there.

I transitioned from PopUps, to 5ers, and then to motorhomes. ALL brands and models have tons of complaints and issues with some unfortunate owners. However, you might want to spend some time on Jayco specific message boards. You will discover why there is a 2 year warranty.

I looked at the Precept vs ACE and Miramar. I like a lot of things about Precept, it has a great electrical system for that price range. One thing I couldn't get over though was the chintzy accordion curtains between living/bath/bedroom. Even the lowest end Thors have sliding wood doors. Funny how a little thing like that can be a deal breaker, still haven't decided.

I agree with BeachDude, if you get tired of putting up with a so so floor plan you are in trouble.

Yeah a door between rooms was a must for us, as well as the oven.
We do pizzas in the desert when riding so that's one thing my wife wouldn't give up.
Did you look at hurricane or windsport 34j? King bed and super cool lay out.
I love my thor so far. What's your price point?
