Problem with starting

So yesterday I put new headlight assemblies in our '05 Windsor. Kept the 9007 lights that they came with. Pulled the switch and what a difference. Left for dinner with the idea that when I got back I would move the mh in front of the shop doors and adjust them properly. Got home and went into the mh and turned the key to start and .... nothing. No lights on the dash and headlights would not come on either. When I pulled the headlight switch the gauges and all the switches lit up but nothing in the dash monitor that shows the different systems like cruise, abs, wait to start, etc.
Checked the batteries and voltage is all proper. Tried the battery boost switch and still nothing.
When the headlight switch is pulled the parking lights come on but not the headlights???
Checked all the fuses and were ok.

Any ideas to get this beast up and running?

Did you test the chassis battery voltage with the headlight switch in the ON position?

Both chassis batteries register 12.96. Without the lights on 13.00.

Located the headlight fuse and it was good but replaced anyway. No help. Noticed that there was a key switch fuse ...uummmmm... Key would not turn anything on so what the hey- looked at it and the 10amp bugger was blown. Replaced it and the key works again as do the headlights.
Amazing how a 10 amp fuse can shut you down completely. I must have shorted something out when replacing the headlights.
Hope this helps someone else.
