Progressive EMS PT50C

Question for those of you with the PT50C from Progressive. I suppose the same would apply for the PT30C as well. I'm talking about the older units that are being discontinued now, not the new X models.

Does the digital display indicate voltage if there are no error codes? So, if all is good, can one look at the display and see the existing voltage or would it be a blank screen unless an error is present?

jt

Edit - Never mind - I just found a video that answered my question. Thanks.

Mine scrolls thru line 1 and displays the voltage followed by the amps being drawn, then line 2 (same info), then Hrtz and then repeats constantly as long as no errors cause it to disconnect. Mine is the 50 amp portable unit from Progressive. I'm convinced they are the best available, hard wired or portable.

+1 on the PT50C. I've had both, portable and hardwired and they work the same. I prefer the portable. My hard wired unit is being enjoyed by the current owners of my last RV. JMO.

Progressive EMS PT50C

Mine scrolls through as well with each line voltage being one of the scrolled display parameters.

It does show the voltage on each leg, but in my experience, low voltage doesn't really show up until you put a load on the circuit.

When my pt50 detects an error, it continues to scroll thru volts, amps, htz and errors, just like it does if no error is detected. If the error is corrected, and the unit restarts the power to the coach, it shows the previous error by indicating PE

Thanks for all the responses. I'm still trying to decide whether to go portable or hardwired. I think portable is what I will probably end up doing.

Portable can be installed in the electric bay. It keeps it out of the weather and criminals eye sight.

Yes, thats another idea I've thought about. Would not be hard to do at all.
