Puzzling electrical Problem

While returning home I set the cruise control and within a few seconds it stopped working. I needed to change to the left lane soon after the cruise quit, only to find the left turn signal did not work. It acted like a bulb was out. We stopped for lunch, and when we returned to the MH I turned on left turn signal only to find it working. I decided to try the cruise after getting back on the hwy. No cruise, and yep after trying the cruise the left turn signal quit again. Now in my driveway, turn signal is working again. Don't know about the cruise, but doubt it's working.
Hoping for some help. Thanks!

it might be in your turn signal switch, but I would start with the tail light bulb. Check for a bad connection or crud in the socket. The cruse will not work with a taillight out.

I checked the rear turn signal socket. It has no corrosion, I did replace the bulb just in case. I checked the front too! Thanks Travelier for your information! I do not know how to check the turn signal switch. I would guess it would be a project to get to it.

To update findings about the cruise quitting. I did not think it was important to mention I was towing my friends boat. Well now that it's gone the cruise and turn signal works fine. I took it in for normal service and after doing what ever tests they do they did not find anything wrong. I talked to D from IRV2 and he led me to the possible wiring on the boat trailer. At this time everything is working and we will be heading south in a couple months towing the HHR. If it happens again I will add to this post. My friend and I plan to check his trailer wiring. I hope we find something!
Thanks again for your help.

That sounds like a "Twilight Zone" moment.
