Has anyone ever had their black tank valve not close all the way
I have a 2018 Winnebago Vista LX.
7000 miles. It just happened.
Any tips on fixing ? Or take it to a Winnebago Service ctt ?

Its probably blocked. Happened to me once. Had a TP wipe jammed in the closing. Open it up all the way and try to fish it out or flush it out.

That was my first thought. When I dump I can always see bits of debris trickling out as the flow stops. I have my wife stand on the pedal inside until it looks like it's rinsed that out of the tube. It's only a few seconds. Then I close the valve. It's probably overkill, but I always worry about closing that valve on something that would allow it to leak.

I would fill the tank to near full and dump again. Maybe the volume from a full tank will wash it out.

I think I would dump tank, leave valve open and fish a garden hose thru bathroom window, stick hose with nozzle down toilet and blast away, that should clear any obstructions.

Many on here use a third gate valve at the hose connection and after empting the black tank use the gray water to back flush and drain the black tank. Then the cheaper among us, simply pick up the hose above tank level and let it equalize, then let the hose back down.

Another gate valve is on my list....
