Question: Why Isn't the Class A Motorhome topic broken down into Gas and Diesel?
I have only been active on this forum for less than a month. I own a Class A diesel, but I am trading it for a Class A Gas unit. After reading the class a forum it would make sense if a new forum was dedicated to Gas and one to Diesel. Most people want info on what they are driving without looking thru the other entire forum for stuff irrevelant to the other. If you want to read about the other, then just go to that forum and read about it. It would sure make it much easier.
I am also a Newmar Owner, I would suggest the samething on the Newmar Forum site. Have one forum for gas owners and another for Diesel owners. Both forums would seem to have enough interest to justify doing this.
I hope I am not offending anyone with this question/idea.

Most posts seem to be more about the coach than the drivetrain. Of course there are exceptions but if you ask a diesel question I doubt that you will get answers from people who have never owned one.

Where would the gas vs. diesel questions (or fights) go? No drama!

I agree, there should be a separate forum for gas class A's and diesel class A's.

If you go to the correct chassis forum they are, for the most part, separated. Ford or Workhorse for gas and Spartan, Freightliner, Roadmaster, etc for diesel. Workhorse did make some diesel chassis.

Not from most of the post I read. I just happen to believe in the keep it simple strategy. I don't have time or want to be involved in the drama. Lols - I am still an old "Joe Friday" guy - just the facts Mam

However, if you ask a gas chassis question, there are always some Diesel owners who chime in to say you really should have bought a Diesel. There I go, fanning the flames, but just couldn't resist...

There are chassis forums. That pretty much separates gas and diesel.

Most MH systems are somewhat generic, and used in both gas and diesel, and even among the different builders.
Chassis related issues are very specific, and there are specific chassis forums.
I've seen other forums that use a "tag" system, i.e. the topic will appear in the various sub forums with the corresponding tag. However, most of the users don't utilize the tags, so it was somewhat useless.
Even on specific manufactures forums, the same issue persists, for the same reasons, similar systems can be found in various models.

Actually, keep the Motorhome forum as it is but add two sub forums, one for Diesel drive train and the other for Gas drive train. Then 98% of the posts would be in the main forum and only drive train questions would go in the subs.
