That tells me the problem is most likely with the "parking lights" circuit. Again, there is some kind of feedback into the left turn signal circuit but from where is the problem. Knowing it happens with the parking lights, you may be able to focus on where those lights are grounded and if that ground is shared with other lights, like the turn signals, both front and rear.

BTW, I assume this is a new issue and did not happen the other times you had a problem with the headlight switch, correct?

Do you have DRL's on your unit and are they headlights of parking lights?

MsHappyCampers,

Had exactly the same problem on our coach on a recent trip.
Left turn worked ok with not headlamps or parking lamps on.
I too am a believer that a bad ground will give you the bulk of electrical issues so:
I started by removing right tail light assembly. cleaned all blade contacts applied silicone dielectric on them. Pulled every bulb several bases corroded, replaced those bulbs just cause and cleaned each socket and applied silicone dielectric grease. And since I was there cleaned each bulb base and socket in the assembly yes more silicone dielectric.
Reconnected and low and behold issue went away.nn

But hey if one side was like that might as well to the other side no issues since.

good luck and let us know what you find
greg

If I had the problem back then I didn't catch it!

Headlight switch

This may not be related, but on our first time out last winter we pulled into Savannah with no interior lights up front. All the gauges and control panel were dark. The next day I started floundering. I pulled the headlight switch and then started checking the fuses under the drivers side. My neighbor came over and asked what the problem was and he went in his coach and brought out a can of electrical contact deoxidizer. I worked the switch and he sprayed. And voila, everything worked. Oxidation kills electronics.

I had a very similar problem and it was due to a droopy filament in the rear bulb. When turned on it would get hot and droop down and touch the other filament allowing power to run through the other circuit.
In my case if I turned on the left turn signal I could turn off the key and the motor would keep running. Took quite a while to find out. Get a good bulb and switch one out at a time.
Good Luck

Lights

Have you installed aftermarket LED taillight bulbs? I had a problem when I put some led bulbs in, they didn’t make good contact in the socket.

VERIFY that the GROUND is good. I had a problem years ago with the headlight ground being bad. I solved it by directly grounding the headlight instead of through the wiring harness.

You should call in a pro for the fix.

Years ago I had a brand new car that suddenly started acting up. When I activated a turn signal the windshield wipers would come on and keep time with the turn signals. It was diagnosed as a dead short in the dash.

My current MH had a problem with the dash lights staying on even with the ignition off. Also the brake lights would flash occasionally when the ignition was off. I took it to Freightliner and they had the equipment to track down a bad electronic module, Everyone was telling me it was a ground. I know that grounds do cause many problems but in the newer stuff there are lots of modules and ICU's and ECM's to crap out too.

Check your grounds on the left lights.
