rear camera installation problem

I purchased a wireless rear camera and the front display works fine, cig. lighter provided power....rear camera doesn't seem to be getting power...camera has two wires, red and black....wire coming from floor of closet has three wires black white and red....all wires very small gauge...( bought mh used so not aware of other end of rear wires.....which wires hook up to the camera black and red wires...???? I'm thinking that once I hook up those wires and if they have power...all will work ????? thank you allbsdd@aol.com

First make sure those wires are hot and ground continuously.
FWIW I used the old obsolete Sony rear camera coax for center wire positive, braided shield ground to the Voyager wireless camera.

If I remember correct Sony cameras ran on 5v. The other end should be terminated near or on old monitor if still installed. There should be 12v there to power the monitor. You could splice power together there ,but fuse should be changed to match the smaller gauge wire now used.

Solar powered backup camera

Six months ago I bought a solar powered backup camera that connects wireless to a color display (plug in cig lighter) in the cockpit for $169. Works flawlessly.
