Rear Hitch Stabilization

I'm curious if anyone has tried to give extra stabilization on their class A by adding something to the rear tow hitch? When our washer is running, the whole rig is shaking.

Perhaps something like this?

You would probably have trouble finding a spot under the rear to place it and I'm pretty sure it would not stop the shaking. I can always tell when a load of clothes is finished because the shaking stops.

Our 40' with a tag axle and weighing in at 42K pounds also shakes during the spin cycle. Unless the machine is mounted on a concrete floor, you're going to get movement.

I'm reminded of the time when we had just purchased our current RV, with a Splendide combo unit. For some reason we decided to run a load of laundry while we driving - after all: we had a generator for power, a full fresh water tank, and an empty grey water tank. The book said that a full load only used 14 gallons of water so we knew we were good to go.



Everything went great - to the point that we actually forgot the washer was running. That is until it started its spin cycle! It shook the rig enough that we were sure we had a flat tire, until we heard the washer running!


We never did that again!

These stories remind me of the time our daughter came to visit. She was setting in a theatre seat when the washer went into spin cycle. The look on her face when the coach started to shake was priceless.
