Am I the only one.
I have yet to see anyone with a two-part ladder on the rear of their MH hook their bottom part to the upper ladder when not in use. I use to store mine in the bay and everytime I had to get something out of the bay, I had to move the ladder. So I hooked it onto the top of the top ladder and added a couple of bunge cords to hold it tight. Its out of the way now and very easy to access. I added a small lock just in case; although I have never had anything stolen in a campground. Since this is so logical, and I have never seen anyone else do this, maybe I'm missing something? s/Toby

Thats the way I roll - bottom part sitting on the second rung down, then a velcro strap around the whole mess. I saw someone with that configuration at the first rally I attended (this past January) and have done that ever since.

Winnebago has clips at the top of one of the basement compartments to store the ladder extension. This is storage space that is almost impossible to use except for the ladder.
My old 1994 Vectra had the same clips.
I don't go on hte roof so my ladder has only been out of the clips once when my buddy went on the roof to replace a Fantastic vent gasket.

A ladder is one of those things that in order to operate one must be under age 50 and have a license as prescribed by law. I am way past 50 and I had my license taken away by the DW at an early age. While I break the law often, (never under the influence) the DW always reminds me of the violation. After all, some laws are not fair and have to be broken, especially with the DW saying, "I don't understand why we don't hire someone to do that, you know you can't do that". JMHO s/Toby

It's on the top of the ladder? Now don't you have to climb to the top of the ladder to get to the ladder extention so you can attach it to the bottom of the ladder, so you can climb to the top of the ladder?

At Lowes or Home Depot. May be on pegbords or hanging clip racks near the ends of the isles.

I use SS hose clamps - easy to get on/off with a screwdriver but secure enough to keep the kids from quickly slipping off the Velcro and grabbing the ladder.
