Rear Slide not working

Closed rear slide, went to shop for servicing, oil drain, etc. Following nite took on a road trip w/friends, no overnight. Next morning extended front slide , then tried back slide and no reaction. This happened once before and out of the blue, it worked couple of hours later. I see fuse for front slide, not rear slide. Checked previous threads for location and mine is different. On breaker panel in bedroom, it says "this slide fuse, relays, and connector are located behind electrical board." I opened it and looked behind and don't see anything other than ground strip, and many wires going to breaker box. Any ideas where fuse and relays are?

Sometimes slide operation will get "funky" if your voltage is low - be sure your charger is working right. Sometimes the connections on the "black box that controls the slides get loose - on mine it is located in the baggage area on the frame rail. Spent an hour one morning tracking down voltages/switches etc. until I simply checked the black box and the connector had worked loose. Some simple checks before getting too concerned. mark

I checked connector at motor and it was tight...what do you mean black box? There are two slo blo fuses (both good) 1- 15 amp reset fuse (good) and a 30 amp Buss fuse on back slide, doesn't say reset on it, but it ohmed out as good and two relays for each slide. Shouldn't they pull out? Tried all four and none released...afraid to put pliers for fear of causing some other problem on board. Undid both connectors (did hear reset beep. I guess, on front slide reset fuse) but nothing on connector for rear slide...it is buss 30 am but doesn't say reset on it. I'm going to add picture of relays etc

Same boards I had trouble with. Solder joint for 12 volt going to motor had lost contact. Only way to see that is to remove the insulating "paper" on back side of PC board.

Mine would work and then quit and then would work again. You will eventually need to fix it permanently.

sorry I couldn't get back to you right away. I'm guessing that my "black box" is doing what that picture shows as an open circuit board. I have a newmar product on a spartan chassis. As someone suggested, look for a cold joint or a dirty connector there. good luck- mark

Friend had a Bounder {FleetwoodProduct} slide control box fell into the outside partition lift up wires to it and attached to back wall next to the ground strip terminals.

As a follow up, it happened again after 3 weeks in TX. Could not get front slide closed, ready to leave for home!!! After 140.00 repair from mobile tech, it was the "solder joint" on back. It was loose. He switched around the cable, used the back slide board and it worked and made it home. Found a replacement from Amazon (89.50). Might try to re-solder for heck of it and see if it works...and keep as spare...You nailed it...thank you.

FYI next time I will know to switch the cables as backup...just remember to switch fuse (one is 20 amp for front and 15 a for rear)
