connector fixes or wireless

As was covered above, you can use a wireless setup....yes that's replacing monitor and camera OR you (it sounds like) you can put a new connector(s) on the cable that is in the ceiling. I'm kind of guessing based on what you have said that it's the "cable end". Most cables can have new connectors placed on them and connectors can be found at Radio Shack or online.

Replacement monitor
