Rear Windows in Diesels?

I totally understand there is an engine back there, but I'm wondering if there are any new diesels out there with a rear window.

We are very happy with our 2016 Southwind 34A, and would have no problems staying with that or a Tiffin or Newmar with the same floorplan, but if there are any 'pushers with the back window and around our preferred size of 35 foot, we'd look into it.

I think I know the answer, but never hurts (physically anyway), to ask.

Haven't seem any. Most DP's have the bathroom there or a full width closet. Mine has the closet and a column of drawers. No way to see out anyway.

There are currently none in the Newmar Diesel lines. I once owned a 2006 Monaco Knight (diesel) and it had an office in the rear with a window. There are a few out there.

I don't think you're gonna find a DP with a rear window! JMHO

Hang a TV on the back wall and display the picture of the rear camera

Teri-

I don't recall seeing "new" pushers with rear windows. Here is a link to a 2007 with one, though. It's a Holiday Rambler Vacationer XL 34PDD.

Here are a few pics of some views from my La-Z-Boy electric rocker recliner in front of the large rear window in the office of my 2005 Monaco Knight. I really enjoy backing up to lakes, rivers and mountains and just watching the wildlife and nature or reading a book when it's wet, cold or windy.
A really important feature to me is the back window is an oversized emergency exit that will always be available and relatively easy to use regardless of whether the coach is upright or laying on one side or the other after a mishap. Note the latch releases in each corner.
The window over my desk in the rear roadside corner is also an emergency exit. I have cut a wooden closet rod into three 24" long pieces to prop open each of the three top-hinged emergency exit windows in the coach. I installed a floor anchor for a 15' long mooring line between the two bedroom exit windows so I can throw the running end out either exit window. I tied hand/foot loops every few feet. The line is reflective to facilitate finding it in the dark or heavy smoke. The prop rods also have reflective loops in one end which I keep looped over one of the latch handles on each exit window.
I know the OP is interested in a newer coach but I purposely limited my search to non-SCR, non-DPF, non-DEF coaches. I plan to make this one last as long as possible.

Well Teri,
I too haven't seen very many, if any on the road. Ours doesn't have a bathroom or a closet on the back wall, just the bed headboard and a wall, period. Obviously, it's a double wall thing. The inside wall and, the back panel of the coach where our third brake light sits. The back of that coach get's fairly dirty due to the engine fan and whatever dust/debris it want's to kick up and turbulate back there.

Have seen a few older units, but no back window in recent years. I like it above in pictures! Good luck!
