EDIT- Well, now I don't know what's going on! Amazon shows the Zero-G RV/Marine hose to the 5/8". The Teknor-Apex website shows them to be 1/2". I tried to call them for clarification but they are closed because of the bad weather.

My choice for a flexible drinking water hose is the Flexzilla.

Why would you want a stiff hose like that instead of the highly flexible Zero-G? Just curious.......

There are two different RV hoses. 4002-2 is 5/8 and 4006-25 is 1/2

Any suggestions for twist-on ends/caps for when the hose is in storage to keep small things from crawling in there?

The threads are standard hose, so any regular screw on cap or plug will work or you can just screw the two ends together. This method also captures any residual water in the hose No drips in your storage area.

Also, it looks like there is also a 1/2" RV / Marine Version (Sold by Amazon to, 50' length).

https://www.amazon.com/ZERO-G-1-2-X-...t_sims?ie=UTF8

I think I'd rather have one 50' (I think) that I can take with us in the Coach and also use when parked here at the house since I need about 40'.

Isn't 1/2" sufficient for RV water use? A water filter will restrict the flow a bit anyways.

I'd rather buy from Amazon as the Seller (or Lowes / Home Depot but I don't see the RV / Marine version there) in case I need to return it since some reviews post about bad taste/smell

Yes I understand, what I meant was for specific products / caps that are drinking water safe (safe metal/material), perhaps not a big deal to be drinking water safe.

I believe hoses that specify that they are drinking water safe are made with components that are lead free.

Recommendations on fresh Water supply hose

Any RV accessories store will have Caps specially made for RV hoses(Valterra etc) The difference is they are vented to prevent bacteria buildup. I don’t think drinking water safe is a big deal as water is not flowing thru or in contact, if the hose is drained prior to storage. I just flatten the Zero G hose and fold letting the water drain out the other end and then screw the ends together. No problems in over a year if use.

Stiff? Have you ever used a Flexzilla hose? Stays flexible to -40 degrees, light weight and will not kink. Can be repaired and it will not burst like those expanding hose types.

I purchased the Zero G both 1/2" and 5/8" and thus far like the flexibility of the hose especially for storage. I would recommend highly.

Ah don't worry; they'll drown and get caught in the water filter. Actually, I just screw mine together.
