Redoing fiberglass roof.

What is the consensus of redoing a fiberglass roof. I was thinking of Eternabond tape and some finisher. New to this game and was wondering what the experienced have to say. 1999 Safari Serengeti DP 37'

What do you mean by refinishing your fiberglass roof. Are you talking about maintaining the sealant around vent covers etc, redoing the caulking that holds it in place or something else?

Yes, I'm in the process of buying used and the first thing I would like to do is make sure the roof and seams are water tight. I don't know if I used the correct terminology, seams and vent covers as you referred to. Thanks for responding and what would you suggest to do this?

The eternabond tape works extremely well. I removed old caulk and used the 6" eternabond for the end cap seams and 4" for other roof top vents and such. I bought the tape from Best Materials LLC on line at a very good price.

I have used Eternabond tape many times, just remember that it does not like to adhere to Silicone. If you have silicone sealant I suggest you use a heat gun to soften and remove then reseal with a non silicone caulk and cover with Eternabond. You must use a roller or other device to properly seal the Eternabond. I suggest a wooden wall paper roller for best results.
If you are re-sealing the gutter where your roof fits in then I recommend you go on line to Lichstin's web site and review their U-Tube video on how to do this. They give very specific instructions on material depending on your MH's paint etc.
Good luck, hopefully this helps.
