My Norcold double door just went out and I replaced it with an Amish unit. The salesman was very helpful on any questions I had as I installed it myself. It works great for the week I was out. I will be giving it a 6 month test soon.

I replaced the cooling unit, in our Norcold 1200, with an Amish unit about a month ago. The installation took about 4 hours. The instructions that they send you are helpful but after doing the install I can see several shortcuts they need to put in the documenation.

Frig stays real cold now!

Yep!
We got the Amish built unit and I installed it a couple weeks ago. Now run at 4 rather than 5 and haven't heard the cooling fan come on at all since the change, before it ran almost all the time. Instructions weren't the best but adequate. I did the whole thing myself but ours was just a 1062 so it's smaller than a lot of them.

Here is a install of Amish unit in a 1200 series fridge.
Yours would be smaller and Dometic but same type of install.
