just remember that "you" cannot install the engine yourself if you want a warranty!
Only a qualified repair shop can do the swap. just sayin..............

Many MH dealers will only install Jasper engines. This is because if they install a engine and it fails, the replacement install is on them. Jasper runs every engine on a test stand and makes sure there are no problems before shipment. Go with Jasper.

Your wrong about that we just replaced an engine in a 97 ford van that the owner put in himself two years ago and Jasper sent him to us since were the warranty center. Jasper paid ever penny of the bill.

Been a Jasper Dealer for over 12 years and have never heard this one before, but you should always follow there instructions. If you don't work on cars every day there might just be something you don't know.

I just had a Jasper 454 put in my MH last fall. The installer was at a dealer 700 miles from home. This engine has had an oil usage problem since it was put in. It uses 1 qt every 500 miles. Jasper says that it is within specs. I have had a very hard time finding someone to work on it. The Jasper customer service has been anything but helpful. I tried to take it to their factory and they told me that if it was an installation problem, I would have to pay them for the inspection and any repair. The installer is 700 miles from home. I can't take it to them. Jasper told me that if the mixure was too rich and it caused cylinder wash, it was not covered by the warranty. Jasper has not been helpful at all and pretty soon their 18 mo. warranty will expire. It is just one big run around. Very disappointed in them.
