Remote filler for DEF? where to buy

Hi,
My 2012 Winnebago has the DEF tank on the wrong side of the coach. Does anyone know where to get the parts to make a remote fill so I can route a hose to the drivers side and still fill the DEF tank?

I can find all sorts of parts for Diesel fuel remote fillers.
Thanks,

Do a search for this subject. One of our members told how he made one for just a few bucks. Seems like it was about a year ago, perhaps longer.
It involved a length of heater hose, clamps, and a filler neck. I think he mounted the fill neck for access from the LR corner of the coach.

I just went to Lowes and purchased a section of clear hose the diameter of the DEF nozzle on a 2.5 gallon jug and then the next size smaller hose to fit into the DEF tank.

I just wash the hose out with water after I fill with DEF and stick it in a compartment bay.

Maybe I am missing something here. Why does it matter which side of the coach the DEF tank fills from? Unless you are buying it at the fueling station? Mine only needs to be filled around every 3500 miles or so and I can fuel from either side of the RV. But then again I get my DEF at Walmart for around $8 for 2.5 gallon jug and I always carry enough DEF for any trip I am on. But then again for a long, long trip or full timer that might not work so well.

There are several threads on this subject, and it seems the consensus is that buying DEF at the pump, even if the fill is on the correct (driver's) side of the coach, is still a problem because you most likely will have to restart your coach and pull it forward to reach the DEF fill / tank location because the DEF pump's hose isn't very long.

I agree with awol50, it is much easier to buy the 2.5 gallon jugs at WM for $7.88 + tax and add it to the DEF tank when convenient, rather than "fueling around" with it at a busy truck stop. The savings, if any, are just not worth all that hassle, IMO.

Our coach has the DEF on the wrong side. If we are fueling at a truck stop that has empty lanes, I will fuel with diesel and then come back thru the lane in the wrong direction and fill the DEF.

Maybe this is a reason to buy a new coach, so I can have the DEF on the correct side? :-)

Like many, I buy my DEF at WM. Since a tank of DEF lasts for a number of fuel stops, I just fill it by hand when required.

Personally the smart thing to do if your DEF tank is on the wrong side it to carry an empty 2.5 gallon container and fill it from pump for $2.79g ($7) or just buy it on sale for $8. But the key is to which ever is more convenient. I would keep a jug or two in the storage bay anyway, you never know when you might need it.
