remote oil storage useage
Sorry if this is not a new thread. I have a 2000 32ft Intrigue with the cummins 350. It has the remote oil reservoir, but I have no information on how or when to use it. There is no mention of it in the manuals I got with the very nice coach. Thanks in advance for any advice.

Engine oil or hydraulic oil for the power steering/side rad fan motor ?
Can you post a picture of this reservoir.
EDIT: Can you post your chassis type too.

I am completely unfamilure with "remote oil storage". As Skip suggested we need a little more information.
Make, model, chassis,a picture or at least a description of what your looking at.

Our Magna has it for the engine oil. On ours it's a two gallon tank with a pump that pumps the oil directly into the engine. I just check the dipstick and push the button to add oil, watcch the sight glass to see how much is put into the engine.

On your extra oil reservoir, if you look under it, you will see a handle. In the off position, it should be horizontal. On the left side there should be a sight glass with marks beside it. After checking the engine oil dipstick and finding the level low, you can flip the handle under the tank to the vertical position (push it down) and oil will flow into the engine. You can watch the sight glass and see how much you are adding to the engine.
The tank is an easy way to carry extra oil without having quart bottles to stow and makes it easy to add oil to the engine, especially with where the filler cap is.
I keep mine about half full because my ISC doesn't use any oil between changes.

With the amount of oil an ISC or ISX needs I never bothered with quart containers!
Right now our ISX is using some oil due to the rebuild, it should stop when it breaks in more and the rings get seated again.

Me neither. Mine will use maybe a couple of quarts and then level off until the next change.
To the OP:
Seeing as how you have a CC, it would be best if you post in the CC forum as that is where you will get the best info about your coach. If you haven't already done so, I suggest you join the Yahoo groups Country Coach forum.
