Removal help needed for washer/dryer
Hi, I have a chance to sell my splendid washer dryer combo and was wondering how hard it is to remove from my Diplomat?
If anyone out there can tell me what kind of job it is I would appreciate the info.
My combo is located in the center of the wall, one large drawer below it and open space above it. It is in the bath hall way so at least it is not in a tight area to start with.
Some questions:
Will it come out the front door or do I have to take the screen door off?
How heavy approx is the thing?
Thanks John

The washer dryer combo is about 150 lbs. Just installed one. If it is attached to the floor remove the screws that hold the capture plates. Turn off the water at the faucets located usually behind the washer. Unplug the 110 V power cord. With help gently slide the unit forward until you can access the back of the W/D. If there is a dryer vent, unhook the duct from the rear of the W/D. Get help and gently continue to slide unit out of closet until you can get it ready to move out of motorhome. Make sure MH door is fully open and seat is by the door is fully moved to the rear. Carefully walk the unit to the door and then gently and carefully walk it down the stairs. Two people required. Keep hands away from sides so nothing can get pinched by door opening. I taped my W/D door shut and removed the water pipes before I moved the W/D. Good luck, take your time and all will work. Seeya on the road. Expect a little water to leak out of W/D when you tilt it to get it down stairs.

thanks for the quick reply, just went to the MH and measured the washer dryer..... seems like it is 2" to small to get thru the hall by the fridge...frustration that I did n't measure that before....
can you take the outside of the washer off to make up a differance of 2"....that is now the question of the hour.
Thanks John

You may have to go through a window with it. I had to bring a refrigerator through that way once.

Our is a Diplomat PAQ and our Splendide combo washer/dryer was not part of the original package - it was installed afterwards by incompetent people from Camping World. This came through the front door.

Did you measure the W/D front to rear. That diminsion was smaller on my Splendide and that is how I get it thru the hall.
