Removing Exterior Trim Tape

Hey Everyone,

I have a 1991 Pace Arrow and I need to remove the trim tape because the sun has really beat it up. I have had very limited success peeling this tape off with my fingers.

Is there some type of chemical remover for this? Heat gun?

Thanks,
Joe

I used a eraser with a drill. I think a 3M decal eraser. Lot of work.

Sounds like the eraser will be a good option. There is no fast and easy way to do this, but the eraser does go fairly quickly. Scroll down to "GRAPHICS REMOVAL" in this article, it describes the three methods I found that work, depending on the graph and its condition.

Try 3M adhesive, tar, and wax remover part no. 03618. I've used this for all my trim removal on car's and trucks it works great and wouldn't harm the finish. The eraser works good also.
