Renovating a Class A??

So hypothetically speaking

You find a floorplan that you love on an older model dp, but it's very dated, it doesn't have features that you've decided you really want in your coach etc. Would you take it back to the manufacture (if they are still in business) or would you find someone that does customizing work? What's the coast guess-timate on something like that, are you looking at 100,000 for new furniture, updated appliances and electronics etc???

Has anyone done anything like that???

Renovating a Class A

I am in the middle of a complete remodel of a 2000 Discovery! MCD DAY/NITE shades, new vinyl plank flooring, re-upholstered furniture, new shower/plumbing fixtures, Samsung 197 referigerator, new Samsung microwave, new lcd tv's, added an in motion Winegard sattelight dish new water filtration system, new hardware(no polished brass), changed cabinet/woodwork color to a darker color. Cost 10,000 and I provided the labor(me). If you take it to a shop, I would estimate 40/60,000. Good luck, will be waiting to see the results of your descision. I forgot to mention that I will be repainting the exterior and that will be another 2,000 dollars.

So if you got a coach that had an LP 3 burner cooktop and you wanted electric is that a possible conversion? Does it make it easier if the rest of the coach is already electric and house batteries???

You will need a wiring and distribution system that can carry the load of that electric cook top, not to mention the limitations of your 50 amp system. Maybe consider an induction cooktop or a single induction plate. They are rated at 12 to 15 amps per burner. Some of the new all electric motor homes are using these units. I would not hesitate to exchange our gas range for an induction cooktop, but when I do the math, my 50 amp system does not measure up when a/c, micro, washer/dryer are all considered.
