The stock drivers seat and passenger seats in our Mirada were very uncomfortable. After several hours sitting in the drivers seat, I start developing pain in the lower back. The passenger seat is equally bad, and seems like its at the wrong height and angle and there isn't any way to make adjustments to the seats.
Last winter, we purchased a used Saturn Vue to fix up and tow behind the Mirada. We've now driven the Vue several thousand miles, and on a couple long trips. The Saturn seats seemed very comfortable with many adjustments to tweak the seat exactly the way we wanted them.
The thought struck me, the Vue seats would be very nice in the Mirada.
A trip to the junk yard and I found two Vue seats that were in very good condition, $50 for the pair.
I had to do some cutting and welding on the Vue seat frames so they would mount on the existing MH pedestals. After installing the seats we made a couple short trips, they seem like they'll be very comfortable. The Vue seats have a lot of adjustments, that can be made, tilt, up/down, Lombard support, etc. I'll know better in a month when we head out for our annual trek out west.
