Replaced carpet with vinyl plank...Scratching
Well not real happy right now. I assumed that my slide would glide over a new vinyl floor. The new floor sits much lower than the carpet did but there are 3 points of pressure from the slide. I can sorta fix the scratches but it will only get worse. Any Ideas? I'm thinking about putting a small wedge at those points on the floor and see if it will ride higher. Impossible to attach anything to the bottom of the slide. Just dang.

Can you put down some slide skids when moving the slides in/out? Plastic or wood with double sided tape on the vinyl floor might work?

I may have a solution. I am terminating the plank right behind the cockpit and at the edge of the slide, (that is where it scratched). I will put down a metal transition strip at that point between the plank and existing carpet in the cockpit and hope the slide rides on that. I am half way through this project so I have to finish laying the plank and get that metal strip down. I think it may work. It may also push down the other side that isn't scratching right now. The teflon pads would be awesome if I could attach them somehow.

You can buy 1/8" plexiglass sheets is various sizes at Lowes and Home Depot. You can cut two pieces to lay on the floor where the slide rollers are. I had the same problem and this solved it for me!

I don't know that there are rollers. I have been under the slide when it is extended and I don't see what the slide rides on. The carpet was always mashed where the entire slide road.
That said, do you lay the plexiglass down when you take the slide in and pick it up when it is out?

I went to the dollar store and bought cheap carpet mats and put them in the places where the rollers scratch the floor.

Same issue here. I went to Walmart and bought some pieces of the white poster cardboard. Lay it down when the slide comes in and pick it up after its out.

Thanks, I guess that's about as easy a solution as anything.

Our slide does the same thing. I turns out that the teflon strip that runs the length of the slide was broken in the same area. I found a piece of teflon and put it under the area until I can get in there and replace the complete teflon strip.
