Replacement awning fabric and alumaguard

I am in need of replacement fabric for my A&E awning, it has the alumaguard cover on it so the standard replacement fabric awning with vinyl weathershield will not work (I think). I am having a difficult time finding something on line that is designed for the alumaguard. Has anyone found one, and has anyone done the job themselves?

As always, appreciate the help

I have no idea what the Alumagard is...but ShadePro says they sell replacements:
ShadePro Inc.: Replacement Patio Awning Canopy - Acrylic w/ Alumaguard

It that the spring-loaded bands of metal that wrap up your awning when retracted?
Wish I had something protecting my awning when rolled-up.

Hope that helps

I wasn't clear

Maybe alumaguard is not the right description, I am referring to a metal weather shield that wraps around the awning when closed. As a result the awning fabric has an extra attachment point where the "outboard" side of the metal shield attaches to the fabric, so i has 3 seams with bead in them, one to attach to side of coach, one to attach to roller tube and one to attach to the metal weather shield.

I will go to PPL and see what they have, thanks all.

contact chris at www.stonevos.com after replacing awning fabric on 3 coaches in the past 14 yrs this guy has it figured out. he not only uses better fabric than original but the thread he uses is far superior. one other trick he does is he actually doubles the length of fabric on the roller (it fits) when the time comes yrs down the road you can pull the fabrics off and reverse them now you have fresh fabric for another 5 to 7 yrs. I have no connection with this company just a very happy customer! jim

another fabric will fit without the weather guard. you just dont have the protection.
you have to adjust the spring tension anyway.

Have you tried A&E or is it just to expensive?
