Replacement furniture
I have a 2014 Newmar DutchStar 4018. Original owner, has been a great motorhome. My only real problem is the fake “Ultraleather” on the Captains chairs, recliners and pull out coach. It has started flaking off, look terrible. Does anyone have any recommendations for upholsterers in the Charlotte NC area. I would like to either redo or get new everything depending on the spread in cost. Any recommendations would be appreciated.

^^ We had the seats recovered locally but had Bradd & Hall replace the couches because they were not that comfortable from the start.

For the recliners and couch you may want to look at home furniture to see if you can find something that will fit through the door and in the living room. We took our rv sofa out and bought a recliner loveseat that works great. You probably will need something that will allow the back to be taken off to get it in.
Thanks,

Had peeling issue in our 2016 Miramar. Also did not like the factory sofa. Replaced the sofa with dual power recliners from RecPro. They have several modular furniture options for RV's. We also purchased matching fabric from RecPro and had the driver/passenger seats and the 6 cushions for the dinette recovered. Labor for all recovering was $1,000. Material was about $500.
Upholstery work was done by a retired furniture industry person in Liberty, NC. I removed the seats and cushions, delivered them to him in Liberty. They all fit in the rear of my 2002 Jeep Grand Cherokee. Ours was the first RV furniture he had worked on. He said he would like to do more if anyone was interested. Had to wait about 2 months before he could get to our work. Took him about 3 weeks to complete once started. He has a store front/workshop in downtown Liberty. "downtown" being a bit of a stretch for Liberty. You will feel like you went through a time warp and ended up in 1960 if you go there. A very nice, honest, soft spoken man. He has another ex furniture person helping him part time. If you are interested, you may want to hurry, he is in his 80's. The finished product was exact copies of the originals, including skirts, pockets, zippers, etc.

I highly recommend Lambright. Great people and high quality product. If you can't come up with an excuse to visit the Elkhart, IN area, you can see if they will ship to your area.

Either reupholster or replace would be the best thing to do. Re Lambright furniture, we ordered a Lambright replacement sleeper sofa in May at Bradd and Hall, and it will finally be available sometime later this month or early December. So, if you have to order something, be prepared for a wait.
We've made several purchases at Bradd and Hall and highly recommend them. I prefer to have them remove the old sofa and install the new one, but you can have furniture shipped to you.
