Seems like the perfect time to switch to lithiums. Faster charge , more useful amp hours and longer lasting. Of course they do cost more initially.

Going a little off topic but keep in mind that lithiums need some kind of temperature protection from extreme high and low temps. If the location is suitable for that then the transition can be easier. On an older coach it might need a remote that can properly program the charger.

I would love to convert to them but my battery bay is directly over the exhaust and gets WAY too hot. Not even good for my AGMs.

Problem is that maintenance free is not AGM and the venting requirements are different. So this is workable only if the battery location is vented.

Gel's are very delecate, they are very easily ruined, average life of only a few years.. AGM's much better

Flooded wet require more attantion from the owner but give by far the best BANG for your BUCK

I love gels and they work great if you charge them correctly. However, they have been supplanted by AGM's and are not easy to find. I am using Trojan 24gel in my TC and deal grip 27 in my sailboat and am very happy with them, but will switch to AGM's next go around.
