Replacing busted sewer hose chute (4" ABS/PVC) on Coachmen Mirada

My 2006 Coachmen Mirada had a 4" swivel chute (4" ABS/PVC) mounted under the waste tank compartment which housed approx 10' of sewer hose -- it broke off after hitting a pothole a few days ago. I never looked super close at it, but it looked something like a toilet flange with a 90° elbow on it. Now, with it broken off, there is just a 4" hole in the bottom of the compartment. Does anyone know where I can buy another one? I called Coachmen but they don't have any information on it since the company was bought after mine was built.

Google rv sewer ABS parts switch to images and start looking. Try adding flange but some less words the better. Like just "rv ABS". Etrailer has big selection. I seen flange 90 swivel but had 2nd 2" at Etrailer websight. In rv parts game, a smart member told you can search for hours once you know/find the trade name then search then you'll find a flood of them.

Having difficulty picturing your issue but it sounds as if your sewer connection extended through the compartment floor, vulnerable to impact beneath the rig….?

If that is your predicament, can you re-plumb so the actual connection is INSIDE the compartment & then use the hole in the compartment floor as a port for the hose?

Here is a picture of what I think the op is talking about. I had a similar holder on a 1996 Coachmen Santara, and when I traded up to a 2003 Georgie Boy, I made one out of 4" pvc sewer pipe, however I never could get it to work as well as the one on the Coachmen...couldn't get it to swivel as easy or something..decided it wasn't worth the trouble, but maybe you will have a better luck since there was one already on your unit and you may still have something to attach it to.

I've got one of these in my new-to-me '07 300QB. Always thought it was an add-on. What the heck is it used for?

At any rate, i just went out to have a look and can't find any model numbers or indication of manufacture; just a made in USA" imprint.

Looks like a toilet adjustable closet/hub flange is what you want, in 4" x 4" size.

Can even style by getting one with a stainless steel ring.

Might be hard to find though as my plumbing supplier (pro shop) doesn't carry it though they carry the above brand.

JimNX-

First off, welcome to iRV2!

Second, you should add a "signature" to your profile. It contains whatever info you want; most people put info about their coach there, so they don't have to type it into each message. Instructions for adding a signature are here.

Re: Your Mirada. I can't help with your question (although I have seen posts on it). That said, this Web site should provide you with tips, documentation and project ideas.

If its 4" maybe they have dump hose pushed in for storage. But I would not see using 90 fitting or are there couple 45s unless needed a little extra length. Is cap about hand tight ,that might be clue or drain holes at bottom. Does it look like its hooked up or capped at end, if not you may want investigate with tanks empty, LOL and maybe a catch pan then. I have little door and bigger sewer pipe for dump hose storage. The end that slides in can't have a locking fitting ,the old school tapered friction fit fittings might be okay.

We have the same setup on our 2011 Mirada. Any good plumbing supply company (not Lowes or Home Depot) should be able to fix you up.

Will have to try what fits now I finally know what it is for. Just thought it was a previous owner (3-4) add-on to keep sewer hoses out of the way or dump it somewhere. Not sure if the previous owner even used it as it was empty. Got several sewer hoses and some accessories stashed in a garbage bag and have not overnighted in the rig yet (had to get header leak fixed, and gray water pipe crack fixed first).

There's a big 4" threaded cap at the end. Have not checked for drain holes in the pipe. Have to get a lightweight plastic wrench to carry in the RV now to open/close it.
