Replacing Coach With Recliners

We are looking at purchasing a used 2017 Dutchstar 4369 floor plan and would like to replace the Driver's side Couch with 2 recliners. Does anyone know if the tile floor exists under the entire Couch span at the floor or is thier plywood we would have to contend with once the Couch is removed?

If anyone has completed this upgrade I could appreciate hearing from you! Also the brand of recliners that you purchased it install

Look at recpro.com , they sell high quality stuff at reapolstered prices. Ultra leather fabric on most.

Typically the flooring is laid before any furnishings are added, so the flooring extends underneath. However, when the entire floor of a slide is covered with furniture, the factory may not have done any flooring at all, or used some cheap substitute.

The small slide on the 4369 plan looks like it may be completely covered by furniture, so I'd look underneath before making any changes. The full-wall slide looks to have exposed flooring in some areas, so that is probably fully floor-covered.

We did this on our Fleetwood Excursion. We bought a leather dual seat recliner to replace the crummy jack knife sofa that was in there.

Two cautions: 1) We lost our only passenger seats with seat belts. It was possible to pull the belts thru the new recliner, but that brings me to caution 2. Even though I bolted the recliner down as best I could, it was not as well secure (and much heavier) than the original Couch. So if you were to get in an accident that heavy recliner might be more likely to go flying. And if you have passengers belted in there they could get seriously injured when they and the couch go flying and the belt keeps them in place.

A great consideration! We have never traveled with passengers but a good point for resale. We currently have a 2014 4374 with the front kitchen that I ABDOLUTELY love but trying to configure the 68 inch couch with a Recliner option is truly an unsafe option.

I went to Bradd & Hall for reclining theater seating in that location. I had them do the install and they bolted the the seating to the slide floor and ran the seatbelts thru so they are safe and functional.

Our Tiffin slide out floor was completely covered. The Jack Knife couch was the most uncomfortable seating I had ever seen and it was a Villa. We purchased a double recliner with console from a furniture store and installed it in it's place. The RV recliners we tried were not nearly as plush or as comfortable as the one we bought. I had to extend the slide out floor with two rollers for support, but now we have residential comfort. The only drawback is that we lost some isle space, but only when the slides are in.
