We love our coach. Providence 40x. That being said, we are seriously wanting to move forward with installing wood floors throughout. Now seeing and researching it being done on the slides, specifically the DS slide I really want it done now. Do any of you know someone local in southern California? Trying to avoid a "shop"

Wife says our old(faded) carpet has to go in our '87 HR Imperial. So what I see here will be a big help for us!

Yes Ernie Ekberg, we traveled from Idaho to Weatherford Texas to have him do our floor in our Bounder (!). Wanted to have it done right. He's good people.

I used glue down cork flooring, it worked great. Just be sure whatever you do, the glue is capable of hot temps. I bought a special high temp contact cement, because I live in AZ and interior temps can easily reach 140 F. I have wheeled slide in the back, and plastic skids on my livingroom slide, so far so good! I haven't had any issues.

It depends on a lot of variables. What wood, carpet you choose, how much tear down you do yourself etc. It's a time thing. We had everything but the bedroom redone in a very nice Acacia, including the main slide. Also had a top quality carpet placed in bedroom. We helped with part of the removal of the old floor/ carpet and it ended up less than $5000. Seemed reasonable for the craftsmanship.
