Agree that you can probably just leave it on inverter all the time, but a manula transfer switch is easy if you have any electrical skills at all. It's just a double-pole/double-throw switch, with the inverter feeding one side and shore power the other (output side goes to fridge). You can buy one at a electrical supply or online source (e.g. Amazon) for around $10.
I actually did both auto and manual switching in our former coach. I added a dedicated inverter for the fridge and it had a built in auto-transfer. I also installed a DPDT manual transfer so I could shut the inverter off entirely when we spend days or weeks in one place with shore power, which was our normal mode.
