RF Mogul Satellite Issues

We have a 2012 coach that came with roof top dish RF Mogul, receiver is RF1100. We lost our signal in San Carlos Mexico, this system worked just fine in Canada, US and the first week in Mexico. RF Mogul tells us it was made in Korea and its the fault of the manufacturer. They want us to upgrade 1500$USD to the latest system. This doesn't sound right. Anybody else have this system with problems?

I have the MotoSat HD dish. It came with the original MotoSat controller. It burned out so I replaced it with an RF Mogul controller. It works just fine. MotoSat went out of business and kept all their proprietary programming. Did RF Mogul say that their Eagle 1 controller would work with what you have?

You may, in fact, have to replace the whole unit.

RF Mogul Replacement

Take a look at this thread from mid-2015:
http://www.irv2.com/forums/f53/rf-mo...op-260020.html

basically the older 1100 model controller unit is not fixable/upgradable. You basically have 2 choices:
1) scrap it all and replace the entire thing with non-RF Mogul
2) pay for the upgrade and stay with RF Mogul.

We've been very happy with ours particularly since the upgrade, fast, good lock on, reliable. As I recall ( it was 1.5 years ago) the upgrade consists of a new antenna mount arm (you can re-use the same old dish), and a new controller. The old controller to antenna wiring can be re-used so you don't need to pull cables with the upgrade.
