Roadside assistance policies are not for everyone. Some will never be used which is how any type of insurance protection works. The chances of your home burning to the ground is 1 in 3000. Yet, how many would have trouble sleeping without Home Owners Insurance?? Insurance on certain things is accepted and common with all of us. Liability on our vehicles is required by law, but collision and comp aren't. Yet, how many insist on having both? It all comes down to risk and comfort level. We all accept and pay for the policies that give us POM. I would like to know how much I have spent on insurance premiums over the last 60 years that never paid out more than 10 cents on a dollar or less. My Coach Net roadside assist policy has actually paid out more than my premiums, so I guess I'll keep it.
