AAA Premier RV. Had to have 40'DP towed locally due to fuel line leak. $8 for part plus repair....tow covered by AAA
Also had a trailer tire blow...they replaced spare on highway. Have many Classic cars, so covers them also, along with daily drivers of course.
I did have a blowout on DP last year. Had to buy a spare tire as the MH doesn't come with a spare. Most truck stops have 22.5' tires, so not an issue. Not sure on others, but AAA won't get the tire for you. The mobile repair guy changed and mounted and sold me the tire, right at a restaurant off highway exit
I'd rather pay a little more when spare needed, rather than lugging around an un-mounted tire that may dry rot.
BTW, there is a reason many MH don't come with a spare. You really can't change yourself (unless you are a pro mechanic and have a ton of tools with you ). I consider myself mechanically inclined, and have restored classic cars from shells...but would not attempt
When I watched the guy replace mine, he arrived in a van with portable compressor, hydraulic jack to lift over 50,000lbs, and a tool to dismount/mount tire on rim (I had inner tire blowout). I also had a thimble freeze, so he had to cut off with an air tool (May have needed torch too). I asked then how he does in a snow storm on the side of road on an 18 wheeler!! He said carefully
Guy had 30 yrs. experience and was amazing to watch him repair.
