Standing Indian USFS campground west of Franklin off of US 64. Actually looks like you drive right by the Deer Springs RV park to get to it. Paved road all the way and lots of nice sites. The Nantahala River runs right thru the campground and is shallow and has a smooth round rock bottom you can wade in. Supposed good gemstone hunting area.

Loop A is kinda tight for larger rigs, Loops B,C, and D are by far the best, and loop E is a gravel road and while I had no issues in my 23 ft motorhome, its not well suited to large rigs. I think the loops 1 thru 5 on the Recreation dot gov website translate to the loops A thru E on the map.
On Youtube search
standing indian campground ride thru and you get a number of videos that give you ride thrus of all of the loops.
There is NO cell service there, you have to go back up the entrance road 2 miles to Rock Gap where the Appalachian Trail hits the road to get a cell signal.
There are water spigots where you can get water, and very nice shower and restrooms for each loop.
I spent one night there waiting for a friend of mine, to arrive the next day, but it was so full, I left and we met up and Black Rock Mtn State Park in Mountain City GA, south of Franklin.
Be sure and visit the Franklin Gem and Mineral Museum that is located in the old jail
