Roof Day !!

Oh yay, tomorrow is roof day !!

My question to the audience: Once I am up there with Dicore in hand, looking for all of the smallest defects, what else do I need to do while I am up there?

Last year (in September), I did the Dicore and added Eternabond tape to the front and rear seams. I also repaired the skylight and the fan cover and lowered the CB antennas.

Thanks for any ideas.

Be safe

We have something in common. I will be doing the same thing. I use a plastic tool to check the edge of the sealant bond with the roof. You have to be on your hands and knees to this properly. I use folded over carpet to kneel on as I go. I also have some folded over carpet in my storage bay that I use in RV parks to protect my knees when I need to.

I covered all transition strips and the edges of cut-thrus and corners with paintable Eternabond. I used Hengs, 5 coats, and I check the roof once a month. I am 3 years into the repaired roof and am a very satisfied customer.

Well you have one of those fancy motorhomes. I’m not sure what your roof is like but once or twice a year I wash mine then apply 303 aerospace protector. Don’t have any issues with chalking….yet.

Just a thought!

Fancy is just a different word for expensive to repair.

The roof looked great!
I used three tubes of Dicor to touch up areas of concern. I popped one of the air conditioners and everything look good and solid. There was not even a twig or acorn under the cover. I also cleaned the roof and lubricated the TV antenna.

Ne safe
