Roof leak locating
Well after 14 yers it sprang a leak. I have water dripping out of the speaker over the bed. (MY SIDE)
I was thinking of sending some smoke up through the speaker cut out to see where it is coming from. Up on the roof everthing looks pretty tight and sealed.
Any ideas?

Not sure smoke will be seen but the use of a duct seal blower like SealTec and soapy water on the roof should tell you where the leak is.

If you have an AC unit on the roof close by check to make sure it is still snug to the roof.. there are 4 bolts behind the intake, exhaust cover.

I cut a hole in the firewall, 2" plumb an electric leave blower, close all the doors, vents, windows and get on the roof with soapy water.

Leaf blower sounds like a good idea too.
Thank you

visually check the roof for calking cracking around all the edges where the latter is mounted all hatches rear upper tail lights and reseal as needed clean any crape around a/c shroud even take cover off clean then go inside and snug it down . water intrusion is sneaky it could be any where. does it leak on level ground? I don't think 92tntracing idea is very smart but if you want to use his idea go for it..

When we first bought the MH in 2012 there was a leak in the bathroom area. I could never figure out where it was getting in!
Finally I bought a 50' roll of 4" EternaBond tape and a couple of tubes of Dicor 502LSW self-leveling sealant. I resealed every opening on the roof! On the larger openings such as power vents, skylights, etc, I used the EternaBond all around, then sealed all the edges of the tape with the Dicor. On the smaller openings, vent pipes, etc, I used the Dicor only. Of course I cleaned good around the openings thoroughly with Acetone before doing the sealing!
So far I have not had any further problems!
Good luck, happy trails, and God bless!

I have been an RV tech for 20 years now, I found this trick a while back and it has worked very well on many RV types I have encountered over the years.
This Simple Leak Test Will Find Small Undetected Water Leaks

No offence taken Steppinstone, Over the years I have found the firewall is easy to patch when I'm done. I had a class C one time that had no room under the hood so I put the blower on the vent stack for the tanks, worked great but that thing stunk for 3 days LOL.
