Roof sealants

I had a Rhino Linings Eco-Coat roof installed on my Class A in 2013. I've been happy with it, but I'm preparing for the day when I will need to use a roof sealant. Does anyone have a recommendation for a compatible sealant or adhesive?

If the Eco Roof system was installed correctly (only the air conditioners removed and system material sprayed over fixture flanges and over moldings) there should be no need to have to seal anything.

There are different recommended sealants & adhesives depending on where it is to be applied. I would call Rhino and ask them what the best sealant or adhesive are for the areas you're looking at doing in the future? They would know and would be covered under their warranty.

Preparedness issue

I will be removing the old UHF/VHF antenna and will seal the hole(s) created by the removal, as well as possibly needing to seal other (unknown) future roof penetrations. The Eco-Coat roof was installed correctly and has not been damaged. I have called and emailed Rhino Linings, but so far have not received an answer to what should be a very easy question. Are water-based sealants compatible with everything?

Don't know much about your roof, but in general, I've had really good luck with Eternabond tape for sealing jobs. Good stuff.

Rhino replied

I appreciate the suggestions. Andy, a Rhino Linings technician in New York, called. He recommended SIKAFLEX 221. I hope this information can be useful to others who have the Polyurethane roofing.
