Roof Top A/C Problem

We have a 2008 American Eagle 42F. We are having problems with the center A/C. The unit is a new Dometic mach 8, low profile 15k. It may run for 10 minutes or 10 hours. Then the compressor shuts off and seems to 'freeze'. The overamperage causes the surge protector to shut power off in the coach. The freeze sensor has been replaced. The compressor is not freezing, as the unit can be turned on immediately after the power is restored. Then it once again may run for 10 minutes or 10 hours. I am now leaning towards a bad compressor in the new A/C. Any insight or what else to look at will be appreciated.

Thanks

Check all the wiring connections. Maybe they didn't get it quite right when installing.
