FYI, Costco also has a 15-40 oil that carries the Cummins spec on it. IIRC it was about $10 a gallon sold in boxes, 3 gallons to a box. I have noticed that inventory is being depleted faster lately.
Edit; They raised the price a little. https://www.costco.com/kirkland-sign...100665743.html

A friend claims he was told that the lack of packaging (bottles) is the holdup. He's thinking of buying a whole drum of Rotella, which he says is available. (I think he's a bit crazy.)

Our local Walmart has been out of Rotella, Delo and Delvac for about six or eight months. They had two five gallon pails of Delvac 15/40. I bought them both last October. Shelves were still bare last week.

No shortage in Marathon, FL
Today at Marathon, FL Home Depot. Shelves full of Rotella T4 15W-40.
Hopefully, this is a sign that supplies will soon return to normal.

Supplies maybe move towards "normal"
But that 19 bucks a gallon is tough.

Howdy!
My Chevrolet Duramax is due a oil change and I’ve been trying to find Rotella T6 of a month. No one has it any oil for diesels. I usually buy the oil and have the oil change place do it. I called them and they stated they had T6 in stock. What use to cost $60.00 for a oil change to day was $195.00. Add to that you can’t find any DEF. They also stated I was the last one after je the were now out of T6 oil. One auto parts had two boxes because someone ordered it and failed to pick it up, so that will last a few hundred miles.

The oil supplier in my neck of the woods says it is because the additive manufacturers dont have the chemicals to make the additive and dispersant packages to add to base stock.
That is the root of the problem, not containers
Shell and chevron sell the additives to other companies, but since the shortage, they are not selling much ,if any at all.
My supplier is Reladyne here in Pa.

I buy it by the 5 gallon pail at Tractor Supply, I have stocked up on it during their sales that make it $3.00 a gallon. I have around 15 gallons in stock so I haven’t looked lately. I switched my genny over to the T5 semi synthetic last year and been thinking about switching over to it in my coach. Wish you lived closer I’d sale you some.

I took a look at our Walmart in Simi Valley California and the shelves were bare where the Rotella was supposed to be. They also had only 1 jug of DEF on the shelf. All sorts of stuff are hit and miss. Two weeks ago, I bought five jugs of DEF when I was at Walmart for an upcoming trip(s). The shelves were full at that time.

Valvoline Blue is what Cummins uses in their shops for changes. If they use it after a $30,000 rebuild and warranty it I am pretty certain it's good enough.
