Rubber roof sealant 2004 georgie boy

Looking for the best rubber roof sealant for the dollar and I am a new MH owner. Owners manual suggests Dicor lap sealant, but, I am not sure where to get this product as I am in Ontario, Canada. I have seen White knight roof sealer, which is compatible with EPDM roofs at Home Depot for $35, but I am not sure if this will be suitable. I need some advice from some of the veteran MH owners and if possible a product that I can purchase in Canada.

Thank you, Bryan

I'm confused on what you are looking for. The White Knight product you mention is a roof coating you apply to the whole surface of the roof. The Dicor Self-leveling sealant is in a caulking tube and used around seams, vents, and items that pierce the roof. Dicor makes a roof sealant that is painted on the whole surface, with a cleaner/primer part #1 and then the sealant #2. If the WK roof sealer is O.K. for EDPM rubber membranes, then it should be O.K. Just remember you often get what you pay for and replacing an EDPM membrane is quite expensive, so don't go too cheap.

I agree with BFlinn.

For sealing around penetrations and seams can use Dicor caulk but I recommend Eternabond tape. You can get either on eBay.

For recoating the whole roof, I would go with the Dicor product. Not cheap but many people have used it and like it. You can order it on-line too.

Good luck
