Running Gen set while driving

I have a 2003 Holiday Rambler. We are on a long trip and our dash air went out. I read on irv2 that many people run their generator and roof air while driving. However when I do this I get a Fault on my Freedom control panel.
What is causing this and how can I run my gen set without causing a fault.

I have a 99 HR, with a 5000 Onan.
I don't have a freedom control panel.
Are you talking about the Xantrex control panel?
Either way, let us know the fault code that you're getting - that's where you should start...

What happens when you turn the charger and inverter off?
No reason to run the charger.

Any idea what is wrong with the dash air? I had major issues with mine, I can tell you the roof air is not all that effective where the driver sits,

My problems were ELectrical, OEMTECH linked me to his web page where the answer was.. Well, not exactly found but close enough that I found it based on what he posted there.. It's all good now.. In fact it is 100% now. (He pointed me to the main issue, and I had the cash to fix the "Fix it later" issue as well).
