Question Rust Prevention

Has anyone used an electronic or annode rust prevention system? How well does it work? What brand did you settle upon?

Have not purchased yet but was looking into Counter Act ( counteractrust.com ). Was in Woodall's 02/03 but can not find a update.

If anyone knows about cathodic protection it's a Navy man. The only place I've seen it used is to protect the water heater of one manufacturer and they use a replaceable sacrificial anode screwed into the tank. The other popular manufacturer does not, I think they use a stainless steel tank but I'm not sure. I also don't remember which company uses the anode. Hope that helps some.

I had electrolisis(sp) on my driver's door near the bottom. I thought about installing a zinc anode but can't figure out where to put it
