RV Bra Film Removal

Just had Ugly Shield Removal remove the film from the front of my 2007 Monaco Knight motorhome. They are located in Ft Meyers FL and can be reached at 239-240-0793. The front end looks like a new coach. I highly recommend them.

It looks marvelous. I was just cursing mine last weekend. If I could find somebody around here to do it for a reasonable price, I would be all over it. I'll take my chances with gravel chips any day over the moldy mess they create. Aren't they still selling new coaches with them?

Yes, its still being used. Diamondshield is one of the best known. I just had mine removed and replaced with new material this past year. Glad I did it. My 12 year old coach looks almost new again. The current Diamondshield carries a lifetime warranty to the original purchaser. It was not a cheap job by any measure, but I'm glad I did it. It was interesting though, when the guy finally got all of it off the paint really looked great. He made the comment that although the film had failed at this point, it did do its job and protected the paint perfectly. I think this is the same thing chiefdave is seeing.

Another option is to add a bra to cover the cracked film. I recommend Active RV at activervupholstery.com. They do a great job fitting the bra perfect to the front to the motorhome.

I've seen some rigs that had their front done in Line-X or similar. They do have different colors and you know it's tough!

Now what? Live with the rock chips and have the front painted. Your clear cover failed because of poor installation. If a quality product with the proper adhesive is used it shouldn't allow moisture under the film. Some cheap window tints had poor adhesive and that's why you see all the bubbles in them. Same with the clear bra material. If it is not high quality or installed incorrectly then you will have problems.
The product is good.

I had a bra on my 2005 Monaco knights for 5 years and the bra started to look bad. So I removed the bra a the paint was bad. I had to sand off the 3m diamond shield. I painted it with rhino liner silver to match the paint. I did it 2 years a go and very happy with the outcome. Click image for larger version
