RV Breakers Switch

Are RV Breakers switches different than those in a S&B home? Can they be purchased at Lowe's or Home Depot?

Breakers in distribution box will be the same most likely GE just pull one and take it into the elect. dept at any store that has elect. department. Most breakers within your generator will specific to the generator, ie Onan, Generac, etc.

Might add be sure to disconnect from shore power, generator stopped and inverter off just to be safe when messing with the breakers.

I'll confirm also. Added a break when I added two outlets to my coach. Best to pull one from the breaker box before heading to the local supplier just to ensure what you pick up is exactly what you need. The front and manufacture may look correct but how it latches in and connects to the power bus could be different.

In new construction it required that you only use breakers made by the same manufacturer of the service panel. There is usually a label on the back face of the panel saying this. In existing construction the homeowner can pretty much do what they want but I'd replace with the same brand as the fit will be better.

Square D residential circuit breakers come in two versions:

QO breakers are 3/4 in. wide and only fit in Square D Loadcenters

HOMELINE breakers are 1 in. wide and may be installed in other products with 1.00 branch breakers

Buy Square D products, help keep my retirement pension funded
